EXPERIENCE

Mr. Tucker has over 30 years of experience in consulting engineering practice.  As the founding principal of Wm. Tucker Associates, Mr. Tucker has provided engineering services in the construction industry over the past fifteen years for a variety of contractors, owners and other engineers.  These services include engineering analysis and design for temporary structures, underground structures, engineering feasibility studies, analysis of claims, and expert witness consulting services.  Mr. Tucker’s project experience includes: Design of foundations and site modification for Public Service Kiosk and Toilets for JC Decaux; Design of water cofferdam for Wilkins Slough Fish Screen; Design of underpinning system for Rockwell Base Isolation Project; Design of bridge jacking system at the Porter Street Bridge; Design deep shafts for Kinnicknnic Collector System in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Design of reshoring system for a new office building in San Francisco, California; Design of the temporary support systems for the reinforcement of the North Approach , Golden Gate Bridge.

 

Prior to developing Wm. Tucker Associates, Mr. Tucker worked for an engineering consulting firm in San Francisco, California.  As a Senior Engineer, Mr. Tucker’s responsibilities included design engineering and consulting for owners and contractors in the construction industry.  His experience included design and consulting on both temporary and permanent structures, deep and shallow excavation support and other soil-structure design projects.  Mr. Tucker designed deep excavation support systems on large transit projects for the Bay Area Rapid Transit District, the Washington Metro Transit Authority, the Rochester Combined Sewer Abatement Program, the San Francisco Clean Water Program and the Milwaukee Crosstown Interceptor Tunnel System.  His experience includes designs using soldier piles, sheet piles and slurry walls with support by internal bracing and tieback systems; t    hese designs were commissioned by heavy engineering contractors performing the work.  In addition, he was responsible for providing expert analysis for construction litigation.
